The purpose of SLACIAG is to develop and improve the practice of internal audit in Scottish local authorities, police, fire and public transport bodies. It will achieve this by meeting to discuss issues of common concern, commissioning work to develop ideas, sharing good practice, working in partnership with other professions/governing bodies and promoting SLACIAG as the representative body for internal audit in public authorities
