Since 1997, T. S Invincible Navel Cadet Corps based at Bletchley Park has provided many children in our community with the option of attending a club that offers to train them in various different basic skills including cookery, engineering, electrical work, basic first aid, seamanship and communications enabling them to have fun completing various recreational activities along with training them excellent life skills such as hygiene, discipline and motivation to succeed. The cadets are a registered charity and receive no funding, so the running of the group comes from cadet subs or fundraising activities organised by the volunteers associated with the group i.e. staff and committee members. We welcome children from aged 8 to 18 and then many of them either join the services or become volunteers for the cadets. We currently have 75 children on our books and they meet every Tuesday and Friday from 7pm to 9pm. We do various activities for the children including swimming, training weekends, trips to Portsmouth and an annual visit to the navy base in Belgium or Holland.
