'The First Dance' - Cornwall Film Festival 2008
"The First Dance" is premièred at the National Maritime Museum as part of the Cornwall Film Festival 2008. Filmed over three months, the film follows local lad Alec Harrison as he prepares to dance for the first time in the Flora Day celebrations, Helston. This ancient festival is held every year on May 8th. A joyful and colourful occasion, the celebrations centre around the processional dances, where local townsfolk and children dance the streets dressed in their finery.
