The troop was formed in 1997 and we now have approx 55 members with the youngest member just 4yrs old.We have six teams (age and capability sorted) which train at Coleford Royal British Legion Hall, Nr Frome and Midsomer Norton in Somerset. We train on Monday and Wednesday nights. We are a non profit organisation which fundraises for our equipment. We hold regular bingos, jumble sales, sponsored events and bag packing at local supermarkets. We also produce a DVD at the end of every year which includes films and photos from all the events we participate in and fundraising days. The entire team has worked very hard throughout 2008/9, participating in local fetes and carnivals and we produced some great results at competition level. We have a great team spirit and encourage the families to play an active role in supporting the team and the children individually. 2009 has been a very busy year for fetes and bookings are taken up to a year in advance. We are of course looking forward to participating in the upcoming carnivals across the region. 2010/11 brings new challenges as we are looking to take some of the girls to National and European Level,We are actively seeking sponsorship as the team are determined to travel more and be able compete in other competitions throughout the year. The sponsorship we look for can help with the uniforms, special sound system or a great wish of ours - a minibus.
