I focus on creating new and attractive decorative glass designs using my decades of experience and skill as a 'lamp-worker'. I continue to make and repair scientific laboratory apparatus. I offer to demonstrate in front of you and your friends; describing many aspects of glass in your life. These demonstrations give you the chance to 'have-a-go! I also offer structured lessons for beginners and improvers. My background is that of employee in glass manufacture, technical sales, University Chief Technician, business founder and owner of specialist Glassblowing manufacturing business and Trainer. I was a member of Glass Training Association and Chair of the British Society of Scientific Glassblowers and its Examination Board. I am a Fellow and Master Glassblower of the BSSG. The subject Skills areas include:- scientific apparatus, especially glassware: setup of glassblowing facilities & training of apprentices & staff. I have nearly fifty years of experience in the design and manufacture of laboratory glassware - clients extend across the widest spectrum - Agriculture / academia / analysis / Chemical manufacture / drink & food / general manufacture / Pharma / Research and Science. I have trained school-leavers and Adults to become fully skilled glassblowers. I have setup and designed complete glassblowing workshops. I have advised Recruiters to assist in their own recruitment. I have and will audit the operational procedures including Safety management for commercial businesses.
