HOW WE BEGAN: • Allure Venue Styling came into being after I found out I was going to be a mum. I had just finished studying social work at University and knew I wanted to do something more positive with my life. At the time I was also planning my wedding and I was loving every single minute of it. The idea of starting a business around weddings popped into my head but I didn't give it much though until my husband and I discovered we were expecting. I knew I wanted to be able to decide my own working hours around our baby, and to be doing something I loved. • As our wedding was going to be too close to our baby's due date, we decided to change the wedding date...instead, we would be getting married...IN 5 WEEKS TIME! We must have been mad but we had already been engaged almost 3 years and there was no way I was going to wait any longer! Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones talking? Anyway, I loved the thrill of it, being creative and organising everything, knowing we were all going to have a wonderful time at the wedding. • I only wish I'd had more time to be even more creative. 5 weeks isn't exactly much time to plan everything but I discovered it is possible. And not only that, but I seemed to have a knack for it. And when our daughter finally arrived, everything made perfect sense. I was going to set up my own venue styling business! • After 9 months to adapt to motherhood, the planning began and here I am now, realising my dream. My dream to use my creative skills to bring joy, excitement and happiness into the lives of so many people. To transport them out of everyday life into a place of celebration and fun. HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT? • So you've read about how we began, but how exactly are we different from any other venue stylist in Cumbria? Well I could tell you how passionate we are about making our customers dreams come true. How we want to take the pressure and stress, of decorating an event, off your shoulders so you can enjoy yourself. Helping you "Be A Guest At Your Own Event". • This is, of course, all very true, but how do we achieve this? By focusing on a key area which is, Your Vision. We want to make sure that your vision for your event comes to life! No worrying that we have different ideas or you're not getting your vision across to us. We make sure that you get EXACTLY what you want by using mood boards and mock setups of your chosen décor so you can see what everything will look like. This gives us both more than enough opportunities to tweak things and make them "just so", making your event true to your vision. • We can style any type of event, from small private parties such as children's birthdays and baby showers, through to large weddings. We also do corporate events from Christmas parties to conferences and grand openings.
