AlphaBright is a broadband light source for scientists requiring intense VIS-NIR (400nm to 2800nm) light. AlphaBright's patented design ensures that more light from the bulb enters the fibre optic cable, improving light throughput and signal-to-noise ratios. It is orders of magnitude brighter than rival VIS-NIR light sources on the market.The AlphaBright design also ensures light remains efficiently focused on the fibre optic cable when optical filters are inserted into the filter holder.AlphaBright is supplied with a power supply that has been chosen to provide as stable an output as possible keeping drift and light level variation to a minimum. The PSU has a quoted ripple voltage of 2% maximum and a line regulation of +/-1%. After an initial 15 minute warm up period, we have found that the light source is stable to +/-0.1%The unit arrives with a pre-aligned bulb for immediate, optimal performance.
