Pine Tree Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage in Bladnoch near Wigtown, the National Book Town of Scotland. The traditional stone built cottage is located across from the River Bladnoch, near to the southernmost whisky distillery in Scotland and down the road from an excellent pub/restaurant. Amongst the many activities you can enjoy in the area are cycling, walking, fishing, live music, riding, archery, local history, and exploring Wigtown - the national book town of Scotland featuring numerous bookshops and an annual festival. We also have access to an art studio across the river where tuition and shared studio space are available.For those who just want a bit of quiet time, you can kick back and relax by the fire or in the large, rustic garden. Unlike most self catering accomodation, we will consider taking pets for a small additional charge. Bookings are now being taken for the Wigtown Book Festival at the end of September, and for cosy winter breaks.
