Legalisation
Your document may have to be legalised, because certain countries require legalisation via their own embassies, either instead of or in addition to legalisation by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The embassies have their own processes to confirm that either or both the Notary's signature and seal and the FCO Apostille are authentic. The embassies charge a fee for this service, the amount of which varies from country to country. James Couzens uses an agent to obtain such embassy certificates. You can attend the embassies in person, but this may involve waiting time.
