Shieldwall is a strategy board game, based on the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and the importance of the Saxon Shieldwall during the course of the fighting. The objective of the game is to capture positions of one's own troops (swordsmen and shieldmen) behind the opponent's flanks. The rules are as easy to learn as draughts and comparable to chess in that the complexities of Shieldwall are as challenging to master. The board game comprises 48 Norman figurines and a rectangular chequered board. Each game in individually hand crafted so the production rate and availability is limited all adding to the exclusivity and desirablility of owning this fine strategy board game
