Local IDEA provides a property survey service for Energy Performance Certificates, (EPC`s) for both residential & commercial properties in the East & North Yorkshire areas. Local IDEA also can do SAP & SBEM calculations for new build residential & commercial building projects, to show compliance with Part L of the building Regulations.EPC`s are required by law to be provided for all properties being constructed from new, and existing properties being sold or rented out.Local IDEA is also accredited to survey & provide Display Energy Certificates (DEC`s) for public & institutional buildings. Local IDEA is also certified to carry out Building Asbestos Surveys, both existing building management surveys & also building pre refurbishment & pre demolition asbestos surveys. Fire Risk Assessments are also undertaken for commercial properties and also the common areas of buildings containing residential flats, as also required by the Fire Safety Regulations.
