East Midlands Kickboxing (EMK) provide professional and enjoyable martial arts tuition to people of all ages and all walks of life throughout the region. Although newly established in 2008, the friendly instructors have a vast wealth of combined knowledge and years of experience in the martial arts and self defence world. Safety within the classes is of paramount importance, and any sparring or contact work whatsoever is entirely optional. Most of the students simply prefer to benefit from the great workout EMK Kickboxing can offer, whilst gaining self confidence and improved fitness. With a large team of over twenty experienced instructors, East Midlands Kickboxing ensures that its staff are not only qualified in martial arts, but also in customer care and satisfaction. For your peace of mind all of the EMK instructors also hold first aid certification, teaching qualifications, instructor indemnity insurance and have all been CRB (police) checked. The EMK aim to provide an opportunity for complete beginners and completely unfit people to gain access to the huge benefits of the sport. Families are also welcome and to encourage this they happily offer family and group discounts on their fees. The classes are often split by either age or experience levels ensuring a more tailored session according the individual, no prior experience is required.
