We run a number of 2, 3 and 4 days courses and 1 day taster courses throughout the year from Lower Micklin Farm in StaffordshireExperienced sculptor Daniel Lingham will be on hand to help and guide you through the process during your course. You will be shown the techniques for using hand tools in carving stone as well as methods to help you develop your sculptures. You don't have to be an artistic genius to sculpt stone. If you have and idea of what you want to sculpt please bring sketches, photos or even small clay models of the design you would like to try to follow. If you are not sure what you want to do don't worry, we can help with ideas and inspiration to get you going. Sometimes it is good to wait and get inspred by the piece of stone you choose to carve. Advice will be given on setting up and finishing work at home if you don't complete it within the timescale, or you can return again to finish your sculpture or start another one.
