The name Kent has been synonymous with the highest quality of hairstyling for men for more than seven decades.It was in 1934 that Vic Kent first opened for business and unwittingly became the founding father of what would eventually grow into the largest independent group of barber shops in the whole of the United Kingdom.His salon at Yardley, on the edge of Birmingham, pioneered a new concept by combining a swift, instantaneous service with a standard of hair care which had not previously been available to the vast majority of the male population.His business philosophy caught the imagination of thousands of customers who travelled from miles around.Vic's grandson, Antony, first joined the family firm in 1986. His daughter Charlotte joined the family firm making her the fourth generation to be involved with the business.
