The MENTOR Initiative is a charitable "Not for Profit" organisation and works in collaboration with the Roll Back Malaria secretariat, UNHCR, UNICEF, ICRC, IFRC, INGOs, FBOs, Ministries of Health national malaria control programmes, as well as with a network of academic and commercial partners in countries experiencing humanitarian crises The MENTOR Initiative is working with agencies, authorities and partners in Northern Kenya and Somalia to help ensure that everyone is prepared in case this drought leads to epidemics of malaria and other vector borne diseases The MENTOR Initiative team works globally to reduce malaria deaths and suffering in humanitarian crises The unique community based l relief model developed by The MENTOR Initiative has proved highly effective in three contexts
