This journal is one of the most unique pieces that I have created, the journal itself is handmade from birch bark, with 168 pages of blank white paper inside and stitched together to secure into this quality book. If the book itself wasn't nice enough, I have created this polymer clay dragon which has been adhered to the bark to create a truly magical piece. 3 out of 5 of the elements can be found in this piece, 4 if you count spirit, as the spirit of the dragon is one of the most powerful in mythology and we mustn't forget the spirit of the birch, a highly sacred tree in Celtic astrology. Birch is a tree that is associated with new beginnings and is closely aligned to the water element. Dragon's are fiercely protective, loyal and represent fire. The paper represents earth. All of our journals are both stunning and practical, not to mention completely unique, meaning each piece is a one off and a very different gift idea, or a treat for yourself of course.
