Dickinson was founded in London in 1992 by Simon Dickinson, a former Christie's Old Masters and British Pictures Director, and David Ker, a dealer in 18th and 19th Century British Pictures We have extensive experience in all types of appraisal work, including insurance valuations, fair market appraisals and estate tax appraisals Over the years we have found that our clients, both private and institutional, have come to value the discretion we offer when buying and selling works of art, the majority of our business being conducted by private treaty on a commission basis
