Tiling and natural stone installation

At Cotswold Home Makeovers we use tiles widely throughout domestic and commercial properties. When we think about tiling, we automatically think about bathroom tiles but not only bathrooms or wet rooms can make use of floor tiles and wall tiles. We also use them in kitchens, hallways, staircases, terraces, balconies, canteens, utilities, conservatories, swimming pools and many more. Tiles are typically made of ceramic or natural stone but newest technologies result in rubber or glass tiles as well. The choice of size, type, shape, thickness or hardness of floor tiles or wall tiles depends on where tiles are going to be used. In general, when we install floor tiles, we chose them thicker and harder. Wall tiles are usually smaller and quite often thinner than floor tiles. For high traffic areas, bathroom flooring, wet room flooring and swimming pools we use non slip tiles which are commonly called bathroom tiles or kitchen tiles. They secure safe grip even when flooring gets wet and that is very important factor which needs to be considered when we chose floor tiles.
