How could we not open a music shop in Manchester? Manchester's music scene has a rich musical history that has created some of the biggest icons in pop, rock & dance music. The Smiths, Oasis, Happy Mondays, 808 State and (dare I say it...) Take That have all been a product of the city's rich culture. To ensure Manchester's next crop of superstars have the right musical instruments from the start, PMT Manchester offers a 12,000 square foot music shop that's packed with guitars, drums, keyboards, PA equipment and keyboards. Plus our helpful PMT Experts are always willing to help you find the gear you want, or just give practical advice if that's what you need to create award-winning music. No wonder the likes of Ian Brown, Doves, Billy Sheehan, White Snake, Guy Pratt, Mike Harding, White Lies, The Courteeners and Trivium have all visited this Manchester music store to pick up a new toy! If you're just getting started in music and don't know where to start, our café area is a living breathing part of the Manchester music community, local music tutors advertise their music lessons, bands promote their local gigs & the next big thing could be recruiting band members today. PMT Manchester also offers guitar workshops, drum clinics and a whole host of learning events to help build your skills and improve your playing no matter what level you are. The Guitar Shop of the North West If you fancy trying that new Gibson USA model, want a 7 or 8 string guitar or maybe you've been given the difficult task of buying a gift for a guitarist, our PMT experts will be more than happy to help you find what you're looking for. Our extended range of guitars cater for every skill level of guitarist and we stock guitars from the biggest guitar manufacturers in the world, Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, Warwick, Rickenbacker, PRS, Ibanez just to name a few. If you're after an acoustic guitar, we have an entire room dedicated to beautiful Martin, Taylor and Washburn instruments, so you can get away away from the hustle and bustle of Manchester city center and try one out in your own time. PMT Manchester also has the facilities on-site to repair and restore stringed instruments in the Guitar Workshop too, so if your guitar needs fixing or you want to get it professionally set-up, bring your axe in for some guitar TLC. Manchester House of Drums The first floor of the Manchester music shop is a drummer's heaven. Mapex, Drum Workshop Inc., Yamaha, Natal, Tama, Crush and Pearl drum kits are dotted across the floor, set up and ready to be played. Sabian, Paiste and Zildjian cymbals gleam from the walls and armfuls of drum accessories and Vic Firth, Promark and Vater drumsticks are stacked high, all ready for you to try out.
