I have been involved in Wine Education since 1993 when I started wine classes at the Ullswater Community College, Penrith, Cumbria. This led to the creation of The Wasp - The Wine Appreciation Society of Penrith. As Founder Chairman I am pleased that the membership has grown to 90 members, and though I do not take an active part in running the society, I appreciate being made The Honorary Life President. In 1996 I was accepted into membership of the Association of Wine Educators, by which time I was trading as The Northern England Wine School and Wine of Course; Since 1994 I've been organising and leading groups on Vineyard Holidays abroad, mainly in France; though we have also visited vineyards in Germany and Italy. For many years I have given Tutured Tastings to many wine clubs, mainly in Cumbria and Lancashire, and I have hosted Wine Week-End Courses, Corporate Events, and Wine and Food Events. I have also conducted Wine Tastings for clubs and village communities.
