"Paperless" Management NVQs
GTL has developed novel ways of assessing Management and Team Leading NVQs to make them more relevant to today's management staff. Assessment takes place over the telephone in a series of professional discussions with observation reports, witness testimonies from colleagues and photographic evidence also contributing to the candidate's portfolio.This process takes assessment away from a one-sided monologue to a two-way conversation whereby managers can talk about what they have achieved and what they plan to put into place without having to write out essays in order to achieve their qualification. GTL's assessors have found that much more information can be recalled and communicated within a thirty minute phonecall than asking a busy manager to take time out from his work to fill in forms and our examination and assessment board OCR have been extremely supportive of the process.
