About LundHalsey

LundHalsey was founded in 1983 by Chris Lund and Robin Halsey who were tasked with producing five consoles for a studio in Soho. Commissioned to create differentiation through design and to define the future of the control room market, the resulting Kontrol Command system met or exceeded all original expectations, changed company attitude towards design and won a DBA Design Effectiveness Award. LundHalsey is a well-established, successful company that manufactures professional technical furniture for control rooms, for use in industries such as aviation and broadcasting. It’s a niche and complex market and in 2015, we identified serious potential risks from competitors that could jeopardise the business’s success; firstly from high volume (cheaper) furniture manufacturers who modify their products to compete on a professional level and secondly, from competitors offering more modern looking solutions, appropriate for ‘high tech’ working environments.
