Alan undertakes painting commissions in watercolour and oils. Portraits are usually painted from life and sittings are normally over several sittings. Each sitting is around 2 hours with breaks whenever required. Portraits can also be painted from photographs, however, where possible Alan prefers to paint from life. Alan Reed specialises in landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, sporting scenes and figurative work. His unique, fluid style captures the atmosphere of any setting, from the hustle and bustle of city life to the serenity and beauty of rural landscape. To own an Alan Reed original painting is to have a truly inspirational work of art. Each painting blends the spontaneity of the moment with over 30 years of professional experience. Since his first commission in 1981, every client has been delighted with their watercolour painting that Alan has created. Prices start from £500 and increase in price according to the size and complexity of the subject matter.
