Cafe ita, coffee with Roots is dedicated to bringing our own, single origin organic coffee directly to the European consumer. A quality coffee produced with great respect for our land and the people that work in our farms and live in our region of Brazil. We believe biodynamic practices to be the purest form of organic farming. Our farms have been Demeter certified biodynamic for over 6 years by the Instituto Biodinâmico (IBD) in Brazil and we are dedicated to the propagation of biodynamic farming principles in the area. We are committed to the preservation of the natural environment in our region and we have set aside over 50% of our land as a conservation area.What can be more ethical than the farmers having a direct ownership of the distribution channels of their own products. This is what we call Direct Trade, the farmers owning their own brand and marketing and delivering directly to the customer. Buying Cafe ita is like buying produce at the weekend farmer's market where farmers sell directly to the consumer. In the coffee business, this process eliminates up to 4 layers of middlemen used in the traditional trading model.
