Emergency Call Buttons for On-site Health and Safety
In the UK there are strict legal rules that employers must abide by for the health and safety of company employees in the case of an injury or accident. Failure to ensure fast and quick responses to accident situations can be fatal in some cases. It's important to have an infrastructure that can notify the first aid and emergency teams immediately if there is an incident. The LRS emergency call systems use specialised paging systems to notify first aid or emergency teams instantly to ensure that incidents are handled as fast as possible. How it works: The system as you see from the image, has SIX buttons (there is also a single button unit available) that can be individually programmed for many different scenarios. The back board shown is used my major UK and European companies on-site. There is a programmable feature that repeats the message that has to be cancelled when a member of the emergency team arrives at the incident. If the message is not cancelled, the rest of the team will arrive to assist, but if cancelled before they arrive, the system notifies others to 'stand down' thus ensuring only critical emergencies are attended to by all team members. The call buttons can be either battery powered or mains powered. When batteries are running low (expect some time before that) team member is notified which unit needs batteries. Often customers don't realise that an on-site paging system has the best communications over and above ANY other technology, and wireless based messaging can have very problematic service, but the LRS transmissions that are RF based are by far the most resilient and are best suited for this type of emergency call button system.
