We have been involved in consulting and advising on the most cost effective solutions to the industry in line with Document L in England and Wales since 2002. During this time we have completed numerous Standard Assessment Procedure documents for Building control applications through both local authority and NHBC. The calculations are prepared using the Elmhurst Energy System, BRE U Value Calculator and the most up to date documentation available. As part of compliance with the new building regulation Part L1A 2006, Air Leakage Testing has been introduced and must be carried out on a unit of each dwelling type on the development as a minimum.The ever increasing requirement to reduce carbon dioxide emissions has led to the Code for Sustainable Homes which assesses a homes impact on the environment and also on those who live in it. At AES Southern we undertake SAP assessments, with the production of HIPs Packs and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). We also undertake SBEM assessments of commercial buildings.
