Business profile
Truffles is Bruton's oldest restaurant since its opening in 1986. Set in a picturesque former crofter's cottage the restaurant is on two levels with an informal French bistro setting on the ground floor extending to an al fresco dining area on the pavement area outside which is shaded by an awning. Upstairs there is a more formal and smart restaurant with linen table cloths and room for about 20 diners. Truffles currently opens from 9.30 serving breakfast, morning coffee and then lunch is available from midday till 3pm. The lunch menu changes monthly and is priced at £15 for two courses or £20 for three courses. Dinner is served from 7pm and is a French a la carte menu comprising several choices. There is a fine selection of mainly French wines from Bordeaux, Loire Valley and Burgundy and an unusual selection of little known French beers and ciders. Truffles received Taste of the West Silver awards in 2013, 2014 and 2015. We have been awarded TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence in 2014, 2015 and 2016. In September 2016 the most recent hygiene inspection by SSDC gave us the top rating of very good. Truffles runs monthly events such as our popular Lobster Nights, Moules marineres nights, Steak Nights and occasional music performances.
