Hartfell House is situated in a peaceful rural setting in a designated Outstanding Conservation Area on the edge of the town of Moffat. It overlooks the surrounding hills, yet is only a few minutes' walk from the attractive town centre. The building is of local stone, and is officially 'Listed' as being of architectural interest, dating from around 1850.
