BUILD is a Norfolk based independent registered charity providing social, leisure and learning opportunities to people with sensory, physical or learning disabilities, over the age of 16. Established in Norwich 1967, The BUILD Charity provides a wide range of daytime, evening and weekend activities for people with disabilities across Norfolk. The activities on offer range from a weekly social club (known as The Wednesday Club) as well as a range of community based activities across Norfolk with opportunities to take part in sport, gardening, outdoor and cultural activities as well as skills learning workshops. BUILD also offers a programme of social activities and skills sessions for people between their 16th and 19th birthdays, called Horizons. This project aims at working with young people making the transition into adulthood. At BUILD we aim to treat people like people, value their involvement and contribution, and offer them the opportunities in life that most of us normally take for granted.
