At Martin Acton's Aikido Institute we focus on teaching courses on Aikido, Self-defence, Meditation, Health & fitness and Antibullying strategies. Martin Acton studied in Japan with the top masters for 20 years and was the only Western person to open and run two dojo in Yokohama. He is originally from Northern Ireland and in 2008 he returned home and set up the only full-time Aikido dojo in the U.K. and Northern Ireland. The classes are small with a maximum of 8 students per class. This ensures quality teaching and more one to one time with Martin sensei. We have free and easy parking. The facilities are world class, clean, professional and safe. The children learn the Japanese language, martial art culture, and how to protect themselves.
