We have been a family run Nursing Home for over 80 years. The ethos within Birtley House is on the care of whole person including social, holistic and general well-being, not just their medical needs. The Whalley family who own and run Birtley House are dedicated to providing the highest levels of care and quality of life for all our residents. They endeavour to ensure that residents feel they have merely 'moved home' and not moved 'into a home', originating from our "home from home" approach. Birtley House offers full Nursing Care, respite care, rehabilitation, end-of-life palliative care and holistic care. In addition, we have supported living flats on-site (Birtley Mews) where we can provide full personalised care if required.
