Simon Kitchin is an award-winning landscape photographer based in North Wales and author of Photographing North Wales, a photographers location guide book published in 2015 (Find out more here). His photography has appeared in numerous magazines, books, calendars and greeting cards. He regularly hosts landscape photography workshops set within the stunning mountain scenery of the Snowdonia National Park and other areas of North Wales and leads the annual Isle of Anglesey Walking Festival Photowalks. His approach to landscape photography is "getting it right in-camera" which relies on capturing the best possible natural light, so early mornings and late evenings are frequently spent "chasing the light". He uses a Nikon D800 full frame DSLR, together with a range of lenses including Nikon 16-35 F4, 24-120 F4 and 50mm F1.8G as well as Lee NDgrad filters.
