Pat Testing Office Extension Leads
When considering pat testing your office equipment please dont forget to include computer power leads, adaptors and extension leads in your calculations. It is vital that extension leads are tested as we often find them to be overloaded, overheated, daisy chained and damaged. So unfortunatley even though a computer block may not require testing at that time it may still need to be powered down to facilitate the testing of the power supply. It is then usual to test the computer IEC leads and computer base at this time for your convenience. Not all computer screens and printers will need pat testing if they are supplied via a seperated extra low voltage adaptor (SELV).
