Ristorante Michelangelo truly is the authentic Italian experience established in 1989 in what was an old seed merchants store owned by the Little & Ballantyne family who supplied all the royal palaces with seeds for there gardens We have won various national awards which are on display in the restaurant including one of the only Italian restaurants to be awarded the highest rating of 5' for our very high standards in hygiene by Carlisle City Council which is a national campaign to improve the standards in all food establishments As you can see from our pictures the restaurant is stunning with many original features including the sandstone arches, when you visit us you think you are in Italy, the food, service and ambience are second to none
