London City airport has become a very well-known international airport in greater London, especially since it has received extensive press coverage. Back in the 1970s, a Campari advert shot it into the limelight when a line from their advert became a common joke: an upper class gentleman asks a beautiful woman "were you truly wafted here from paradise?" to which she answers, "Nah, Luton Airport terminal" in an overwhelming cockney accent. In more recent times, the television series 'Airline' has filmed EasyJet staff to document the goings on there, featuring everything from difficult customers to marriage proposals.
