Chickens
We have chickens for sale that are suitable as garden hens that will continue to lay and produce eggs for your family. All of our chickens are free range and come from small flocks. Our main breed is the brown/warren hen which are predominantly brown birds with white flecks. These hens are excellent layers that are bred for maximum egg production and a calm temperament. Our old laying hens are ideally suited to free range conditions and small gardens, perfect domestic chickens, people friendly birds, great for the 'first timer' and for people with children. Keeping chickens is one of Britain's fastest growing hobbies, they are fairly easy to keep providing you give them fresh food and water and protect them from predators and the elements in a well built house. When you buy poultry from Westonhall Farm you can be assured that: *the hens are free range. *they are vaccinated. *the chickens will become tame. *they will follow you around the garden. *we provide all the advice required to keep a few hens for eggs or hens.
